Install

Replace /path/to/workbooks with the folder the server may open.

claude mcp add excel-mcp-server -- uvx excel-mcp-server stdio --allow-dir /path/to/workbooks

/mcp confirms it's connected.

Or add it manually in ~/.cursor/mcp.json:
