Install

Needs an env var: USDA_FDC_API_KEY — replace the <placeholders> with your values.

claude mcp add io-github-cyanheads-usda-mcp-server --env USDA_FDC_API_KEY=<USDA_FDC_API_KEY> -- bun @cyanheads/usda-mcp-server run start:stdio

/mcp confirms it's connected.
